Our polling average blends together all publicly available polls and weights them based on the reliability of the pollster. They are smoothed using a 14 day moving average. Polls commissioned by political groups are weighted down and those commissioned by political parties are excluded.
Our polling database goes back to 1943, although the frequency of polls has grown greatly over time.
